Shush collects minimal data to provide its service:

  • Audio Analysis Data: Temporary audio data used during Room Analysis to identify prominent frequencies in your environment (AC units, fans, traffic, appliances). This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted or stored.

  • Tinnitus Frequency Settings: Your selected notch frequencies are stored locally on your device to maintain your personalized audio profile.

  • App Usage Analytics: Basic anonymized usage data (such as feature usage and crash reports) collected through standard iOS analytics frameworks to improve app performance and user experience.

How We Use Information

The information collected is used exclusively to:

  • Analyze your room's acoustic profile and shape noise output accordingly

  • Maintain your tinnitus relief settings across app sessions

  • Identify and fix technical issues

  • Improve app features and performance

Data Storage and Security

All personal settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS standard encrypted storage. We do not maintain servers that store your personal data. Audio processing happens entirely on your device in real time.

Third-Party Services

Shush uses Apple's App Store for distribution and payment processing. Apple's privacy policy governs any information collected through App Store transactions. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, it remains there until you delete the app or manually reset your settings. We do not retain any personal data on external servers.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

  • Access: All your data is accessible through the app's settings.

  • Modification: You can change any settings at any time.

  • Deletion: Deleting the app removes all local data. You can also reset settings within the app.

Children's Privacy

Shush is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us at support@shushapps.com.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Effective" date.
